I have a 15 year old welsh cob mare called Poppy who I use for dressage and show jumping but who has had arthritis in her hocks for around 2 years. We have previously had her on a variety of joint supplements, including Cortaflex, but none have had any noticeable effect. Even on the joint supplements she would come out of the box very stiff every morning and appear lame. It would take at least 30 minutes to warm her up before she appeared and felt sound. I couldn't jump her until she had been worked for 45min. After intense or fast work or jumping she would also be lame.
